On Saturday we went to Unicoi State Park for their Easter egg hunt. The paper said there were going to be crafts and the Easter Bunny would be at the egg hunt. We got there early enough to do the crafts before the hunt. We painted milk jugs that could be used as a basket for the hunt. Ellie & Evan really got into it, Charlotte was upset she got paint on her hands.
Then the Easter Bunny came in.
Ellie was super excited
Charlotte & Evan not so much
After they finished their crafts we tried again for a group shot with the Bunny.
I think we have a stalker on our hands
Ellie would not leave her alone.
While we waited for the egg hunt to start we had to get Ellie away from the Bunny so other kids could see her. Ellie was still looking for her.
Finally it was time!
I think that was 1 of the 2 eggs Ellie found
She was huntin' Rabbits
Look at that face
We didn't find too many eggs, but that's okay they enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm sure the Easter Bunny was glad when we left.

Easter Sunday
What a beautiful Easter Sunday to celebrate our Risen Saviour.

We were in the toddler nursery this morning at church and we had just our 3 to keep. They were not having a good day. We left before church was over to take them home.
While we finished cooking lunch they got to see what the Easter bunny left them.

Hunt Results
Does practice make perfect? For years I have said no. Practice makes permanent! If you practice some thing wrong it won't be perfect, but could become permanent. This theory would explain why our Easter egg hunting practice did not pay off. We failed to throw distractions into the mix. Well on game day some distractions were thrown in. Distractions came in the form of small beach balls. Once Ellie and Evan saw them, they could careless about picking up and egg. For the 2nd year in a row Charlotte found the prize egg. Now we have beach balls all over the house and no good candy. I guess we will have to change our strategy next year.

Are you ready for some Easter Egg Hunts?
Our Easter egg hunt at church is this Saturday. We decided to have a trial run and see how they would do. I think they did pretty good. Too bad it is probably going to rain or be too wet for it to be outside.
Here they are checking out how many eggs they had found. Too cute!
Happy Egg Hunting!

Busy Saturday
We had a busy Saturday full of birthdays. 1st we headed to Henderson Falls park in Toccoa for Avery's 1st birthday party. Avery is a friend from church.
Dad & Evan walking to the pavilion
Avery's theme was Minnie Mouse so we got another use out of their Halloween costumes.

Bubble time
After a nap it was time to party again. This time it was for Granny DeMore. We took her dinner and enjoyed the nice weather.
Everyone wanted to help Granny push her walker.
Happy Birthday Granny!
