Toy-rific Toy Story Party

Last Saturday we had a Toy Story birthday party.  We had lots of fun and I think the kids did too.

Here is the invitation for the party.  I got this free template and added the wording.
You will also get to see our new 50's diner themed basement.  We are not completely finished decorating, but we got most of it done in time for the party.
This is Ellie's cake.  She wanted a Jessie cake and of course she wanted the villain Stinky Pete on it.  This year we had the little cakes made at Walmart and I think they did a wonderful job and that was 3 more things we didn't have to do.
This is Charlotte's cake.  She wanted Bo Peep so this is what we designed for her.  I think it turned out cute.
Of course Evan wanted a Buzz cake with all his friends.
Walmart made the Alien cupcakes and we made the Jessie and Woody's cupcakes.  Jessie's were red velvet cupcake with little Jessie hats.  The hats were flattened gumdrops with a red juju candy stuck to it and white icing to make the laces on her hat.  Woody's cupcakes were chocolate with peanut butter frosting.  Woody's hat were caramel squares microwaved just enough to be able to shape into a hat shape.
We had Pizza Planet pizza and Mr & Mrs. Potato bar
Buzz's fruit rockets
Bulleye's cheese puffs, Bo Peep strawberry lemonade & To Infini-TEA and Beyond
Ready for presents

After a hectic present opening time they were ready for cake.
Ellie was first.
Evan loved everyone singing to him.
Last but not least Charlotte
Eating with Karis
Victoria, Anna Kate, Henry & Heather

We had games for the kids to play.  Matthew stayed up late one night and made these games.

Here was what was in the goody bags for their friends.

We had a fun day and are blessed with wonderful family & friends.

Four

Wow, they are 4 years old today!

Miss Ellie you are so full of personality.  You are smart and keep mommy and daddy on our toes everyday.  You love to perform and have the attention.  You are also a little sassy, but bring us so much joy.  You talk non stop and recently just started the "Why" stage.  You love girly things, but you also love any Villain.  I can't believe how much you have grown and changed in the last 4 years.  You were so little and sick, but I know God is going to use you in Big ways.  We love you so much and can't imagine life without you.

Our sweet little boy.  You can say "I love you" and it melts our hearts.  You love to dance and even if you hear music in a store you want to stop and dance.  I think you might be a preppy boy because you love polo  & button-up shirts.  You are all boy and love to pick on your sisters, but you love your "Girls" as you call them.    I hope you always love and protect them.  You are so funny and make us laugh everyday.  I'm so glad God blessed us with you.  You have brighten our lives with your sweet little soul and we love you so much.

Princess Charlotte - our little ray of sunshine.  You are the baby and you love it.  You are All Girl and love to primp in the mirror.  You love pink and would wear a dress everyday.  You are so tenderhearted and get so upset when you get in trouble.  You love to giggle and smile and love giving mommy and daddy kisses.  You are so sweet and such a delight.  We are so thankful to God for allowing us to be your parents and can't wait to see the beautiful young lady you become.  I hope you always know how much we love you.

We love our Triple Smiths!

Home Alone

Matthew has been out of town for a week.  A very long 7 days.  I have missed him so much.  I'm so thankful for a husband & daddy that will change diapers, give baths, make dinner and so many other things.  We will be so happy to see him come in the door.  I know the kids miss him so much and they are probably tired of me.  We have had some good days and some bad days.  There has been fits pitched and tantrums thrown, and some of them were from me!  I'm thankful that I get to stay home with these 3 and I know I will miss these days when they are grown, but it's even better when Daddy is home to help!

We have had cereal for dinner.  Don't Judge!

A picnic in the basement.

A bubble bath in the middle of the afternoon.

And getting ready for birthdays!!!

Snow, Dates & Football

This weekend we had a fun treat of some snow.  It wasn't much but the kids were excited.
Victoria showed Ellie how to catch a snowflake.
This little girl would not keep her coat on.
 They were huge snowflakes.
After the snow stopped we went and got ready for our dates.  The girls had to put their make-up on.
They put their lipstick on by themselves.  I think they did pretty good.
They had to put their marks on their daddy.

This little boy was my date.

We had planned on going to Long Horns, but the wait was 50 minutes at 4:30.  Crazy.  I asked him where he wanted to go and he kept saying the Star place.  I drove around for a few minutes and said different place.  I headed toward Bojangles' and I saw there was a star on the J.  That was where he was talking about.  We both got steak biscuits and sides and he ate every bit of it.  I think he enjoyed his dinner.
The girls and Matthew had reservations at Chick-fil-A's Daddy-Daughter date night, so that is where they headed.  That is their favorite place to eat, so of course they loved it.  They even got a brownie!
After dinner they headed to the Dollar Tree for a prize.  I guess mommy had the same idea because Evan and I showed up there too.
Each girl got a rose on their date with daddy.

Saturday night it snowed a little bit more and it stuck a little.  Here they are before church.
Sunday night we had Eric & Jessica over to watch the Super Bowl.  We ate downstairs in our new 50's diner.  Eric ate at the kiddie booth.
After the kids played for awhile we went back upstairs and they played on their tablets while we watched the game.  Evan got cozy with Jessica.  We thought he was going to fall asleep on her.

Ellie was our halftime show - she sang and danced for us.
We had another fun weekend.
