Cool Weekend

We love our annual camping weekend at Vogel State Park.  We go for a DeMore family reunion.  This year we got the same camping spot and mom, dad, Lisa, Joe, Michelle & Victoria got a cabin (or cabinet per Ellie).  It was a very cool, overcast weekend and it was great.  We didn't get to swim in the lake because the water was super cold, but we did take a paddle boat ride.  The kids loved it.

How does your garden grow?

We decided to have a garden this year.  We planted cucumbers, squash, zucchini, green beans, corn & a roma tomato.  The kids have been lots of help and of course love the results.

A few week later they were helping Granddaddy fertilize the corn.  

 Is that a ballerina in the garden?  Don't you just love their outfit choices!

   

Tuesday night we got our first cucumbers of the season.  

 They were so excited and daddy got home just in time for them to run and show him their harvest.

VBS 2013

Tonight we finished up our Vacation Bible School.  The kids have had a blast this week.  This year they went through the rotations just like the big kids.

We were in charge of snacks this year, so we got to see them during snack time.  

Tonight we had the closing ceremony and each group performed a dance.
