He's Back

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had a "welcome back" Erlo breakfast.  He told us to make a breakfast pizza for Evan & Charlotte & special apple oatmeal for Ellie.
He was hanging out on my new tree in the basement.
 They enjoyed breakfast.
Later we got in our Christmas pjs and decorated my 50's themed tree.
The next day he was celebrating the Reason for the Season.
This was the first time he has been down at their level.  They know they are not suppose to touch him, but I guess it was too much for Ellie.  She started crying and I asked her if she touched him.  She was very upset.  He stayed there for another night, but left some emergency glitter to help him get his magic back to fly.
Tinker Bell might have helped with some pixie dust too!
Hitching a ride with some friends.

Hiding in a cookie jar.  They had a hard time finding him this day.
Taking a nap in the pantry.
Hanging out with the family picture.
On Monday he was chilling in the freezer, but he left a hint so they could find him.
He left us some movie tickets to see Frozen!

It was a fun treat - thanks Erlo
Climbing a tree
He snuck in Charlotte room and was an Elf on the Shelf!
Erlo has heard mommy and daddy complain about the playroom being so messy.  He left them a message.

Let's hope they do it or they might end up on the naughty list!

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and here are 3 of our blessings.
The kids watched the parade while we finished cooking.
Daddy did a great job on the turkey.
Grandmother & Granddaddy had to sit at the kiddie table.

Granny DeMore & Grandmother were going to have a wheelchair race after lunch.

 The kids made footprint turkeys

 Having fun with cousin Victoria
After everyone left we looked through our Black Friday sale papers.
The kids ate dinner with Naw and spent the night with her and the cousins.  We braved the crazy crowds for some all night shopping.  I got to Walmart at 5:15pm and we got home on Friday at 12:15pm.  It was a fun night of shopping and hanging out together.

Our 1st sighting this season

When we went to Cherokee in October we took the kids to Santa's Land one day.   I remember going to Santa's Land to clog when I was around 10 or 11 years old and I don't think it has changed one bit.
We thought this Elf on the Shelf character was part of the park, but he wasn't.  I think it was a little creepy.
 Frosty was there too

Of course Santa was there and we had to say hello.
They told him what they wanted for Christmas.  We will see if they change their mind the next time they see Santa.
Charlotte asked for a baby stroller
Ellie asked for some Disney dolls
Evan asked for Disney racing cars.  Evan even "Donald" Santa!
Poor Evan had been stung by a yellow jacket so his eye was swollen.
We rode the train to the rides.
They rode the Rudicoaster with the creepy Elf on the Shelf.  I'm glad his head didn't fly off.
The girls only rode it once and Evan rode it 4 times.
 They enjoyed all the rides

Here I am with my Aunt Janice many years ago on this same ride

Daddy & Ellie were the only 2 to ride the Ferris wheel

After the rides we watched the little magic show.  Ellie of course volunteered!
 We looked at the animals
 Saw Baby Jesus
Had pictures made with the Easter Bunny
 and this kangaroo.

I remembered this kangaroo from my trip when I was younger and had to try to recreate the picture.  I was too big to crawl in his pouch, so this will have to do.
And here is my flashback picture.  I think they need to do some paint touch-ups
Nice jeans Jennifer
We ended up buying elf hats or as the kids call them "Orfs".

It was a fun little trip!
