Welcome to Neverland Birthday Party

This year their birthday fell on a Saturday, so we got to celebrate on their actual birthday.  When they woke up they each had 5 star balloons in their rooms.  They were really excited.

After a yummy breakfast from McDonalds we headed to the church to get everything ready.

This years theme was Peter Pan.  They love the movie and that is one of their favorite rides at Disney.  Here are the invitations I had made from Luna Petunia Designs.  It was really cute.
When you came in you saw a map of Neverland
Captain Hook was waiting with the goodies.  Fairy wings for the girls and wooden swords my dad made for the boys.
Everyone got a Peter Pan story book with some chocolate gold doubloons and a pixie dust wand.
Tiger Lily, Peter Pan & Wendy were waiting on their guest.
Now welcome to "Neverland"

Matthew made the cute sign with all the different locations in Neverland
Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, Wendy, Peter Pan & Tiger Lily ready to party.
Now for the food
"Tick Tock Crock" nuggets
"Hook's Pirate Booty" puffs
"Wendy's Walk the Plank" crackers & "Gold Doubloons" cheese
"Cannon Balls" Grapes
"Tiger Lily's Veggies"
"The Lost Boys Trail Mix"
"Tink's Fairy Wands" and "Second Star to the Right divinity"
"Mr. Smee's Sweet Tea"
"Mermaid Lagoon Punch"
Peter Pan & pixie dust cupcakes
Ellie had a Tiger Lily cake, Evan had a Peter Pan cake, and Charlotte had a Wendy cake
This time we opened presents as each guest came in.  It was a little less hectic this way.
 Digging into the food.
Fun times with family & friends
Cake & singing time.

Then we headed to the gym to play on the pirate ship.
We also had a pixie dust sand art area

 All the kids

They love planning their birthday parties and love it when the day actually arrives.  It was a fun & magical day in "Neverland" - where you never grow up!

Happy Birthday

Today you three turned 5 years old.  I just can't believe it has been 5 years already.  You three bring so much joy and laughter into our lives.

Ellie you have so much energy & love.  You keep us on our toes everyday and you are still the leader of the pack. You always want to play and love that time with us.  You remember everything and love to soak things up.
Evan you are such a sweet boy.  You tell us "love you"  all the time.  You are so sensitive & love to snuggle.  You love to color and are really good at it.  Your attention to minor details is amazing.
Charlotte you are our sweet little princess.  You have a sparkle in your eye and love to smile.  You are turning into such a little lady.  You are still shy, but have a funny & sassy side peeking out.

I hope you know that mommy & daddy are so proud of you three.  We adore you and love you so much.  Happy 5th Birthday!

Snow, Snow, Snow

A few weeks ago we had our first snow storm.  Matthew was out of town so he missed all the fun.

We played hard and then we rested!
This big red guy was here all day.
They had so much fun.
We broke out my old sleds

The snow was too fluffy to make a snowman, so we just filled up our snowman container full of snow.
The next day we painted some snow.
This week we got lots of snow.  Daddy was home to play with us this time around.
Daddy even stopped on his way home and bought the kids proper snow clothes.
We had lots of snowball fights.
Don't even think about it Ellie.  She loved hitting us with the snow.
Evan would have stayed out all day long.
Charlotte liked sledding, but didn't like carrying her sled back up the hill.  She would play for a little bit and then she was ready to go back in.  Such a prissy little girl.
Evan & Zona played in the snow for a little bit.
The first day our driveway wasn't covered in snow so we headed over to Grandmother & Granddaddy's.  Charlotte went inside with grandmother while Ellie & Evan made granddaddy come out and play
The next morning we woke up to more beautiful snow.
Daddy worked from home, but did stop to make us some Olaf pancakes.
Later we made snow cream.
We played some more outside
then loaded up the golf cart to feed Beaver some carrots and go see grandmother & granddaddy again.
Today it was too slushy to sled so we just built some snowmen & Olaf
We are thankful for the beautiful snow and some family time.
