I have mentioned before that Jennifer and I go to church at Hazel Creek Baptist (reference Got Blood post way back when). We love our church and we have received continuous love, prayer and support throughout this wonderful adventure. We decided today would be a great day to bring them to God's house to be in His presence and see all the loving people that they will get to know better as the years go by. Jennifer's mom has said since they were born that she wanted them to be in church, and how we can all just hold one as the service goes on. She was elated when she came up from Sunday school - there we were sitting on the DeMore pew. We got to church half way through the Sunday school hour to get settled in and of course Ellie and Charlotte needed to be fed. Michelle (Jennifer's niece and newly adopted nanny) was there to add extra hands - carry bags, grab bottles, hold babies. For a 10 yr old, she has not complained the first time while helping with the babies - not even when the church is hot - Evan is sweating - and she is wearing a sweater. Jennifer fed Ellie and I had Charlotte. The patient crowd slow came by for a peak. Main Question: "Which one is the boy?" To say patient is an understatement. The church family has been along with us every step of the way and we have made them wait 14 weeks to meet their new blessings. Evan slept through most of the service making only one peep - it could have been worst. Michelle held him just about the whole time. Ellie decided that she was more entertained by all the people than by the bottle in her mouth. It took her almost an hour to eat but she finished most of it. Charlotte was just the opposite - having a crowd caused her to suck her bottle down as if one of the on-lookers were going to take it away from her. She later paid the price - she spit up! Getting out is a challenge but well worth it!

Won't be long and they will be busting through these doors and running up and down the aisle!

Evan going a little casual
Charlotte decided to dress just like Ellie - She will pick out the dress for next week.
Our original plan was to go to church and get back home, but since we were out I talked Jennifer into going out to eat. We joined Grandmother and Grandaddy for lunch at Grandmother's favorite after church restaurant - The Warehouse. The Warehouse is owned and operated by some church members and is a great place to fill up. We got there early and took a big table. The car seats sat in a row on top of one table and we enjoyed dinner at the other table. It was fun to re-engage with society.

She is welcome anytime - dinner or not!

The day was not over. We got home from lunch - fed all three - and got ready for a nap. Just before we laid down, Jennifer remembered that she had a friend coming over and she was bringing dinner! We will kindly sacrifice a short nap for a free meal. Meredith came over just in time to help feed and she jumped right in and fed Evan.
She is welcome anytime - dinner or not!
Maybe with all this excitement the babies will get some sleep tonight - we'll see.
