Well the car did not change but their view sure did. Evan and Charlotte have finally gotten big enough to get in their big kid seats. Ellie will have to wait a few more weeks before she can switch seats. I was happy for the change. The removable seats were getting a little heavy and lugging them into the back of the van was a challenge. Here they are for the first time showing off their new seats.

Summertime Friends
It has been a great summer and we have enjoyed all of our visitors. The babies get completely worn out playing with their cousins. Last year the babies were just cuddle buddies, this year they were ready for more interactive playing. Here's a few shots of some of our visitors.
Here's Huck attacking Evan with a big teddy bear.
Here's Victoria teaching Charlotte how to sit in a basket. She could go for hours singing and dancing.

Let's go Camping????
ELLIE SAYS WHAT - CAMPING?
CHARLOTTE CHECKS OUT THE CAMPING GEAR. IT'S A GOOD THING SHE CAN'T READ BECAUSE IT IS A TENT FOR HER CRIB.
I THINK SHE FIGURED OUT WHAT IT IS AND IS NOW TRYING TO KEEP US FROM USING IT!
ELLIE SHOWS SOME INTEREST!

You might be wondering why we would put tents over their cribs. Some obvious answers would be:
We have bug problems!
We have cats that jump into the babies beds!
or We have babies that are jumping out of the bed!
If you guessed the last possible answer you would be correct. Charlotte and Ellie have both explored what it would be like to jump out of the bed. They did not climb down like most curious babies - they jumped! They are not ready for toddler beds just yet so we found a safe and easy way to keep them in the crib. It's a simple tent! We tell them they are going camping each night!
Evan hasn't got to go camping and I hope he doesn't.

Vacation Bible School
Howdy Partners! This year the VBS theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch. The kids got to wear cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and bandanas. The church was decorated front to back with wagon wheels, horse saddles, and just about anything you could imagine on a ranch. This was a great opportunity for kids of all ages to get real answers about about Jesus. Ellie, Evan, and Charlotte had a blast. Last year they went to VBS but were just little babies in the nursery. This year they had a class full - 6 Toddlers. The babies got the full experience. Their teachers did a great job with all the crafts, music, play time, and of course snacks. Jennifer and I worked in the crafts with the older kids and had a lot of fun too.
Each night started with a trip up to the sanctuary "Saddle Ridge Ranch". They got to see all the other kids. They really enjoyed the singing and dancing.
Here's a shot of the whole class waiting on the program to start.
Take a look at all the fun they were having!!!

A special thanks to all the hard work that our children's group leaders put in to making this a great 4 days!!!Here's a shot of what they looked like last year at VBS. They are growing up way too fast!!!
