2 weeks we took the plunge and started potty training. I say we, but it was really Jennifer. She started on a week when I was out of town on business. I got updates on all the struggles and successes all week long. Going into this we felt that Charlotte would be first to catch on, then Ellie and with the stigma of potty training boys - Evan last. Wow were we wrong.
1st day

The first day they liked to sit on the potty, reading their books, and would sit when the lady bug timer went off. Ellie and Evan peed a few times. Charlotte would got through the motions but would not pee. She let them run around naked and that really cost us. Evan pooped on the floor. This scared him and set him back a couple days. Ellie is a true first born and has excelled with flying colors. She has no issues and is very proud of a #1 and a #2. She has even had days with no accidents. Evan finally started back after a couple days of no, no, no potty! He responded to being able to flush the potty. He now does #1 when he needs to. #2 is still an issue, but he has had some success with the assistance of prizes.
Charlotte showing to be the true baby in the bunch has yet to pee or poo in the potty. She sits, she says "my potty", she acts like she did it, she wants to flush an empty potty, she says she wants to go potty, she can hold her pee for over 3 hrs, she can pee pee dance for 30 mins, but she will NOT use the potty. Her favorite words are "No Potty". Ellie and Evan have even tried to walk her to the potty, sit her down, and cheer for her, but not results. Charlotte is even the best cheerleader for everyone - even mommy and daddy. We are giving her a little break and hopefully she will see all the fun Ellie & Evan are having.
Evan and Ellie have even went to church with panties on (yes we call them panties - even for Evan - not real sure how to avoid it - sorry.) It has truly been an adventure. We have heard others complain about the trials and tribulations of potty training one. No doubt it is tough, but triplets add a whole new level of excitement. We have gone out to eat and they did really good. Only 5 trips back and forth to the van because they scream pee pee mommy (that did not even include Charlotte). Yes we keep a potty in the van!
The best story so far is one night after Ellie ate a lot of watermelon. She was was still in her high chair and forgot to say potty but was screaming help, help, help. Not sure what she wanted, we then saw the puddle forming under her chair. She just smiled and said "Saw - wee".
It is very obvious that every child is different and we have had to take different approaches on each one.
Any suggestions on how to handle Charlotte?
