Gingerbread houses & Cookies

We have so many fun traditions we have started.  We love to build a gingerbread house a few days before Christmas.  I'm sure in a few years it will be a competition.

 Hard at Work
 I helped Ellie with hers

Daddy & Charlotte were a team

Evan did his all by himself!

Of course Daddy likes to get them all sugared up

On Christmas Eve Eve we made some cookies to leave for Santa
 It was all smiles
 and happiness until
 they split the sugar.
After we cleaned the mess up it was all smiles again.

After their hard work we headed to their favorite - Chick-fil-A for dinner.

The fun continues!

When we last left Erlo he had left the kids a message to clean the playroom.
I'm happy to say they had it cleaned up in 20 minutes.
After they cleaned up, later we found that he changed his message.
No, Thank You Erlo!
We found him hanging around in Evan's room.
They had a hard time finding him just peeking thru this day.
I think he was trying to steal some of Ellie's $ out of her bank.
Hiding in the ivy
On this day we walked into Evan's bathroom and found this
and Him!
Playing with the girls' new pony cards
You would think they would have found him easily, but even Daddy had a hard time finding him.
An easy place to watch all the action that goes on in the house.
That sneaky elf hid the stocking and put our undies in their place.
He still didn't bring back the stockings, but hung our aprons up instead.
He was on my gingerbread nativity, since he wanted us to decorate gingerbread houses that day.

We found the Christmas tree decorated with paper airplanes
and he was hanging out on Dusty from the new Planes movie he left for us.
On Christmas Eve he was playing in the playroom again.
A game of Chutes and Ladders were going on.
and a puppet show.
He was hanging out watching in the castle.
It was another fun Christmas time with Erlo.

Christmas Cheer

Last Sunday the kids at church put on a Christmas program.  The pre-k kids rang the bells, sang a few songs, signed Silent Night and said a Bible verse.  We were so proud of them.

Ringing the bells - Joy to the World

Here is one of the songs during practice.

Evan is Buddy the Elf - "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing Loud for all to hear"

For their hard work we took them that afternoon to see Disney Jr. live.  They had two of their favorites.  Sophia & Jake
