4th of July

God Bless America!  God has definitely blessed us.
We got dressed in our Red, White & Blue and headed to church for lunch.

The kids played and had a good time.

We went to Demorest to watch the fireworks and the kids got to get their face painted.

My 3 blessings!

Evan's Special Day 2015

On June 27th we went on Evan's special day for the summer.  First he had to go build Captain America's motorcycle at Lowe's.

He decided he wanted to go fishing on his day.  We headed up Hwy 197 to Mark of the Potter to look at all the huge trout.

Of course we had to get an ice cold Yoohoo!
Then we drove up to Moccasin Creek to fish in the creek for some trout.  We got some corn and he was ready.
We really couldn't see too many fish, so we moved spots.

We could see a few around a rock and he hooked one.
 He caught 3 fish total.

He was so excited and couldn't wait to tell Granddaddy.
We moved to the bridge, but he was pretty much over it since he had already caught 3.
He played for a few minutes on the campground playground.

After fishing we went to LaPrade's Marina on Lake Burton and ate lunch at Chophouse on the deck looking at the lake.  It was a cloudy day, so it was not too hot.  He got a steak all to himself, so he was a happy guy.

After lunch we drove over to Helen.  We went and played in the river

 Such a sweet boy!
Then we headed over to Smithgall Woods State Park.  We checked out their little animal area.

We went on a little hike trying to find a geocache.  Our GPS wasn't working, so we just turned back around.

Before heading home we stopped in town for a treat!
It was a great day and I hope he remembers it for a long time.

It was a gorgeous Father's Day.  We enjoyed it at church and then dinner with my daddy, Michelle & Victoria.

Charleston

We left Myrtle Beach on Wednesday and traveled to Charleston.  We actually stayed just a few miles away from where we used to lived.  We didn't even remember the campground being there.  We do remember how HOT Charleston was, and boy was it hot!
Matthew went to work on Thursday and Friday, so we just hung out at the Oak Plantation Campground.
We ate some watermelon before heading to the pool.
We pretty much had the pool by ourselves and Charlotte worked on her swimming skills in this pool.
It didn't take long to dry off.
We played at the playground while waiting on daddy to get home from work.

Zona got a upgraded chair in Charleston.  His very own chair and he loved it.
After work we had to eat at our favorites.  Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse is always a favorite and the kids are stuffed when we leave.
They are pros with their chopsticks.

On Saturday we went downtown to the aquarium.
It is a small aquarium, but they loved it.

I love this picture of the pelicans with the Cooper River bridge in the background.

It was a fun vacation.  We love our time together.
