Double Date

October 12th we took the girls on a double date for their special day.  We decided to get their ears pierced.  We have been talking about it for months so they were excited.  We took them to a little salon in Cumming for a fun experience.  

 Here they are picking out their earrings.  

 Charlotte was not scared one bit and went first.  She did really well and didn't even cry.  

 Ellie was a little scared.  They had 2 people piercing their ears so they did both ears at once.  Well Ellie heard them say they would go on 3, so when they got to 3 she jerked a little so only one earring was done.  She cried when they put the other one in, but it didn't last too long.  

 It was done and they were proud.  

 Afterward we ate at Sweet Tomatoes

 then we headed to the mall for their prize for being so brave.  

 We made it to Build-A-Bear

 Ellie picked a black cat & Charlotte got a koala bear.

Soccer Time

Evan started playing soccer in September.  He is on the Bucking Broncos.  He was so proud of his new soccer shirt we had to get a picture.

 After a few weeks of practice they had their first game.  

 Evan had so much fun and even scored 2 goals.  They might have been in the wrong goal, but it was a goal!

 He was a happy boy with a snack and a Gatorade.

 He usually is in the middle of the action, but sometimes he gets distracted and just grins while he runs by us to make sure we are watching him.  

He really is improving and has scored a few more in the right goal.  Maybe we will get a video next time.  

Camping in Myrtle Beach - Part 3

On Friday we had Uncle Terry & Aunt Terri to play with at the beach.  Of course Ellie loves anyone who will play with her.  Terry had a boogie board so Ellie was ready to try that out.  Poor Terry got a work-out with Ellie this day.  

Evan tried it, but wasn't a big fan.

This is Charlotte's version of boogie boarding.  This reminds us of our first trip to the beach.  

Ellie would have done this all day long.  The waves were pretty rough that day too, but she loved it.

We took a snack break

We built a sand castle.  

After the morning at the beach and afternoon at the pool we got ready for our "Play date"!  Terry & Terri were nice enough to take the kids out for pizza and some jumpy jump fun.  They had so much fun with Terry & Terri that night.  

We got to go on our own play date.  

Saturday we were back at the beach again.

and watched some football.  Georgia vs. South Carolina

Matthew, Terry & Terri are big Carolina fans, and they have converted some of the kids into fans.  Needless to say they had to drown their sadness into some ice cream since Georgia won.  

We played on the playground and said good-bye to Sandy.

We had to go make our reservations for next year and each kid wanted their picture made with their favorite Sandy.

We had a great trip.  The next morning we packed up, fed the ducks and said "See ya next year"!

Camping in Myrtle Beach - Part 2

After a few days at the beach and pool we took a day off for some other kind of fun.  We headed over to the movie theater to see the movie Planes.  Of course they spotted a playground.  

And a beautiful photo spot.

We enjoyed the movie and of course the popcorn.  

We did some shopping and for an early dinner we enjoyed P.F. Chang's.

When we got back we got dressed up for some pictures on the beach.
