The girls have caught up with Evan!

Last night before we left, we were told that they were going to try Ellie and Charlotte on a nasal cannula at 5AM. That meant when I came in at 7:30 I would either get good news (they are doing good) or bad news (they had to go back on their cpap units). 7:30 came and it was all good news - both ladies were breathing away on their own. They had passed the first test and would get re-tested at lunch. Jennifer would be coming in the afternoon to find out if they passed test #2. Here's the result!!!

Charlotte with no cpap - sporting a knitted cap!

Ellie with no cpap - her little grimace is because we woke her up.

All three continue to eat. Ellie and Evan are now getting 2 cc every 4 hrs and Charlotte is getting 5 cc every 3 hrs. She's my little piggy! (Jennifer does not like it when I call her that - so I hope she does not read this entry)

The day's events were not over - we had a lot of kangarooing to do. Jennifer held Evan for 1 hr. He had a wonderful surprise - he pee'd all over her (his diaper was not on good). She then waited for me to get there to hold Ellie. This would be my first time holding my 1st born.

She was wide awake for about 20 min and then she fell asleep. I tried to sing her to sleep but all I accomplished was ruining her appetite. Jennifer organized a couple of items in her room so that we could take our own family photo.

After taking this quick shot, she left to go and hold Charlotte. We were both getting snuggle time and then were kicked out @ 6:30.

  1. well My MY! if they keep eating like that then they just may take part in the wedding. Jenn, you look wonderful. You always were beautiful but motherhood seems to have added something that enhances your beauty. Matt when I come up I will have to put hair on my big boobies so when I kangeroo, they will just think it is you. No way could I compete with Jenn. Ha ha! Love Aunt Jan who continues prayers without ceasing.
