1st day at the Beach

It's Monday morning. All the babies slept through the night and I of course got up way too early. That actually worked out great because it allowed me to head to the beach to pick out the best spot for the family and set up camp. Here's the list of items I had to haul out to the sand and set up: Canopy, Beach Blanket, Play Yard, 4 Chairs, and of course a big basket of sand toys.
With everything set up I headed back to see if anyone was up. The whole crowd (Granddaddy, Grandmother, Michelle, Ellie, Evan, Charlotte, and Jennifer) was up and bottles were warming. I jumped in and helped out. The next step was a new challenge for us. Three babies all needing swim diapers, sun screen, and bathing suits. It might not sound like much but it was a extensive task. Now it's time to go. Nothing stands in our way but a couple hundred yards. Here's a shot of us heading down the road in the choo choo wagon. I had the babies and a cooler full of snacks and Jennifer had a over sized beach bag and a camera (yes, more stuff to the beach).
You can tell by these expressions exactly what the babies thought about the beach and water. Ellie can't wait to be set free to explore. Charlotte already lifting her feet and dreading the sand. Evan with his thinking face on trying to figure out what to do.

Here's Ellie overwhelmed with joy! She had no hesitation to the sand or the water.

Evan still thinking had his own game to play. He like to stand where the water would roll over his feet and then he would try to sit down in it as fast as he could. Charlotte had stopped crying, but as you can see was not impressed with the sand or the water. Just Pitiful!
After a little play time we rounded them up and put them in their play yard for some snacks. I was amazed at how well they were taking this new adventure. See Ellie with a new toy. For some reason they all fell in love with water bottles this week. Michelle and I took a break from the triplets to cool off in the "oil free" waters of the Atlantic. We headed back for some lunch and a nap (the babies got the nap). Once they all were up again we headed back to the beach. We did not stay long on this trip it was way too hot. Jennifer looked at Charlotte (who had been under the canopy just about the entire day) and saw that she was bright red. It was time to go find some AC - so that's what we did. We got back, relaxed and then Jennifer reminded me that I had to go back out and take down the beach site. Yeah for me! Maybe we will try the pool tomorrow!
