Can you guess what is missing?

If you guessed Evan has no oxygen tube - you would be right!!!

Yesterday evening the doctor decided to give Evan a chance to lose the oxygen. He had been on the lowest possible level for a few days and was not having any issues - so lets give it a try. I could have added this to last nights post - but I did not want to put too much pressure on the boy. We came in today and he was just as steady as ever. He had a great night and must be enjoying not having the tape on his face and tube in his nose. He has been surprisingly very consistent - preemie baby boys are usually lazy and develop slower - but he is bound and determined to lead the ladies out of the NICU.

Now for the ladies report:

As previously stated, they share a suite. It is a good thing because they keep the nurse very busy. They have not been as consistent. They go down on oxygen - then they go back up - they go down - then go back up. They are experiencing a more normal preemie path. They are gaining weight - Ellie 2lb 5oz and Charlotte 2lb 8.5oz - which means they have been eating good. Charlotte has developed a little reflux but nothing to be alarmed about. Ellie must have know about Evan getting off his tube because when I got the the NICU this morning she was clutching hers and pulling away from her face.

Here are some pictures from the last couple days.
